Previously, the concept of a teacher was “A person who TEACHES, EDUCATES and DELIVERS the best of his knowledge” but today a teacher is the one who is associated with a renowned school or an institution having a Masters degree and getting a good package. In this fast-paced era, education has become more of a business than a service. Every parent strives for the best schools, high schools or universities in their towns. And this has given a lead to the employers to make the best use of their needs. Teaching was once considered a noble profession but now it has become a resource for earning money. Not only are the employers and teachers faulty but the parents also. I have seen parents are on the go with their so called tight schedules which does not only affect their children personal characters but also their futures. People who get higher education and do not find any suitable job as per their field or interest and are more prone to get high paid salaries choose to be a part of this profession, Teaching. Every school which promises for a “Quality Education” I want to ask them just one thing , if they are providing quality education, then why do children feel the need of a coaching centre? In fact, I have seen so many schools which are in the morning, “schools” and by the evening they transform in to a “coaching centre”. That’s strange but true! Attention PARENTS! YOU are the building block of your child’s character. Being a teacher, I always suggest parents to teach their children themselves after schools rather than depending upon the tutors or the coaching centre. I am not saying that all tutors are teaching for the sake of money, one of a hundredth may be sincere with their profession but parents should personally take care of their children in this regard. By sending a child to a coaching centre means, that parents are pulling their hands off from an important responsibility for providing their child a good education. Make every possible effort to brighten up YOUR child’s future. No teacher and no tutor can do that until and unless YOU are not ready to forge ahead! Attention TEACHERS! Be honest with yourself and your profession! Your intention should not be only to visit the institution, deliver lectures and get your salary at the month end; instead your aim should be “to build an educated nation”. Do not only make your educational certificates as a resource to be gainfully employed at a renowned institution but make use of the knowledge that you possess. It will NOT affect your brain at all! Believe me. Moreover, do NOT make any student your favorite student it will only discourage others. Enable the weak students to cope up with the difficulties coming their way. Make the students realize that they can do well even without a coaching centre or a tutor. Be a mentor and an inspiration for them! Attention EMPLOYERS! Stop promoting your institution as a business. If you really want to contribute in building a strong and an educated nation, lower your school fees so that every parent may afford it. There are thousands of families who do not have enough financial means to make up for the best schools in towns and whose children are the bright stars for their families. Do NOT kill the talent of your country. Be a part of something better. Education should be for EVERYONE not only for those who can afford it! I believe, “If a person is NOT loyal to the people, he may never be loyal to his country.”
